Good Eatin’ Good Chicken- Zaycon Foods #GIVEAWAY

Zaycon Foods is a privately owned company based out of Washington State.  Founded in 2009 with the goal of bringing fresh meats directly to consumers at wholesale prices, Zaycon Foods is now in over 22 states and continues to grow daily!  Offering the absolute greatest value for families, Zaycon Foods is for everyone and I highly recommend giving them a try!

A few weeks ago Zaycon came to Georgia and supplied me with 40lbs of fresh chicken to try out.  How did I like it?  I didn’t like it, I LOVED it!  You see here in our household chicken trumps everything…especially when you have a toddler that will only eat chicken.  So we waisted no time an cooked up so good ol’ fashion Fried Chicken!

Me...actually reading a recipe book..ready to go, with my apron and everything!

8 lbs of fresh Zaycon Foods Chicken (yes we eat that much)

2 cups of buttermilk

4-6 cups of flour for coating

LOTS and lots of spices and seasoning (this is the secret part)

– use paprika, salt, pepper, and whatever else you want to add, you really can’t go wrong.

About half to 3 quarters of a bottle of vegetable oil for frying

When using Zaycon Foods Chicken you’ll see how incredibly HUGE these breasts are.  I mean it’s ridiculous, I’ve never ever seen them in the store that big EVER.  So first you have to cut them size accordingly how you prefer.  Then dip your chicken into the buttermilk and let soak.  While it’s soaking go ahead and get your flour and spices all mixed up in a bowl.  Meanwhile pour your vegetable oil in a pan and turn the heat on.  NOW, take your chicken one piece at a time and cover it with your flour/spice mix and it will stick quite eaisly.  Once your done that drop it in the oil and wait.  I’d say give it 20-25 minutes to cook and using tongs pull them out and lay on a platter lined with paper towels to drain the oil.  Add your sides and POW!  You’ve got a incredibly affordable quick loved meal!

Guess what Georgians Zaycon Foods is coming back to Georgia and they’re bringing their chicken too!  HERE’S the big kicker…their chicken will be available for wholesale at only $1.69 a pound!  I know it’s crazy, I gaurentee you won’t find that price in any local supermarket, go ahead…google it.  I bet you won’t find under $2.00 per pound anywhere!  Zaycon Foods will be coming to Georgia at the following locations (be sure to register to get the times and locations in your inbox) between September 28th – October 5th:
